We were enchanted!

Arthur's Seat mazes is the favourite destination for our kids so far, after six months in Melbourne. It's less than an hour out of Melbourne -- on the Mornington Peninsula.
Immediately, stepping out of the car, I loved the smell of wet grass and the sweeping view down the hill.
We spent four hours there -- but could have stayed longer. Picnic tables, a small animal enclosure, and even my easily-bored-husband became intrigued by the tyre maze.
The $45 family ticket prize is well worth it. There are plenty of picnic tables, everyone seemed to bring their lunch. But there are also hotdogs etc inside.
My only criticism -- the coffee was too bitter for my taste, so next time I'd save a few dollars there! But the weather was cold so it still felt snug to wander around the maze finding Buddas with coffee in hand. (Ironic, I know!)
Something else that might be good to know in advance. There's a very eyecatching lolly shop that you have to walk thru to pay for your entry. So, you might need to set kid's expectations ahead about what, if anything, you'll be buying by way of extras.
